Ezekiel 1:1-3:15; Psalm 104:1-23; Proverbs 26:24-26; Ezekiel 3:1-3
Dwell on the image of Ezekiel eating God’s words and savoring them as sweet and delightful like honey today. Often, our sinful hearts rebel against God in such a way that God’s word seems bitter to us, even toxic. But God’s word is sweet: what could be sweeter than the story of God’s matchless work of love and mercy that we see climax with Jesus? A good indicator of where our hearts are with God is how we think God’s word ‘tastes’. Today, consider your attitude toward the Bible and pray that the Holy Spirit would minister to your heart in such a way that your desire and ability to savor Scripture grows stronger.
