Zechariah 7-8; Psalm 144; Proverbs 30:29-31; Zechariah 8:1-2

This Christmas day, know that God burned with such jealousy for you that he sent his Son, born to die, so that he might have you as his own for all eternity. God saw you, lost in a world of darkness, and, anguishing over losing you, called upon his Son to come to earth as a humble champion of Light to snatch you from the jaws of certain, soot-black death. As you celebrate this event today, with those you love and with those who are difficult to love, may your heart be warmed and softened knowing how fiercely God loves you.
