Malachi 3-4; Psalm 150; Proverbs 31:25-31; Malachi 3:1-2
Micah points forward to Jesus Christ in today’s verses and asks two excellent questions: who can endure the day of [Christ’s] coming; who can stand when [Jesus] appears? The answer, of course, is nobody can stand or endure, but thank God this is true. We’re corrupted by sin and if we could withstand Jesus’ coming, we would be stuck in this rotten state. But the best news of the gospel is that we die with Christ and we are raised to new life with him! Today, celebrate the fact that you didn’t withstand Christ’s coming but that you were made new. And keep celebrating because we’ve officially finished the Old Testament!
