Luke Week 1, Day 5 - Luke 11:11-13

These verses have been a source of comfort for countless people – God gives good gifts to his children, even better that we give to our own children. Meditate on this truth and let your heart be glad. Dig a little deeper, too. Oftentimes we feel like we have a snake or a scorpion on our hands. Maybe we’re battling illness, maybe we’re struggling with work or school, maybe a relationship is lacerating our hearts. How deep the comfort to realize that what seems like a snake now is actually itself a gift from God and will turn out to be food for our spiritual growth! This is the kind of comfort that is offered in Christ – the comfort of having God as our Father and knowing that therefore all things work together for our good. Are you living in this comfort today?
